About Muppets
The Muppets were the creation of Jim Henson. In 1954 the Muppets were born on a local Washington DC television show Sam and Friends. Sam and Friends introduced many Muppet mainstays-music, snarky humor and technical tricks. The show also featured an early version of Kermit the Frog, who later became the most famous Muppet of all. In 1969 the Muppets premiered on the Sesame Street Show.
