dick clark productions President Orly Adelson announced today that Beyonce will perform at the "2008 American Music Awards." This marks Beyonce's third time performing on the American Music Awards. She joins an already outstanding group of performers including Mariah Carey, Coldplay, Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Kanye West, Jonas Brothers, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Ne-Yo, New Kids on the Block, Pussycat Dolls, Taylor Swift, P!nk, The Fray and Annie Lennox -- who will receive the special Award of Merit. The show will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and broadcast live from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on ABC. This year's AMA tickets and VIP ticket packages are now on sale by clicking here.

"We are delighted to have Beyonce at the 2008 AMAs. She is truly a magnificent artist and we look forward to her performance," said AMA Producer Larry Klein. On Tuesday, November 18, just five days before the American Music Awards, Beyonce will release one of the most hotly anticipated new albums of 2008, "I AM...SASHA FIERCE." The full-length double album is the artist's first new studio collection since the multi-platinum-selling "B'Day" debuted at #1 on charts around the world shortly after its international release on September 4, 2006. Beyonce's fans got their first taste of the two sides of "I AM...SASHA FIERCE" with the simultaneous release in early October of "If I Were a Boy" (from "I AM...") and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" (from "SASHA FIERCE"). In addition to her multiple artistic achievements on "I AM... SASHA FIERCE," Beyonce has recently completed work on a pair of high profile movie projects, including her role as R&B legend Etta James in Darnell James' "Cadillac Records." Beyonce is a six-time American Music Award winner, having won the International Artist award in 2007 and another five times with Destiny's Child.
