About Mandy Moore

Amanda Leigh Moore was born on April 10, 1984 in Nashua, New Hampshire. Her family later moved to Florida, where Mandy began performing at a young age in various venues around the state, including commercial voice overs. Her considerable talent and star quality landed her a contract with Sony Records at the age of 15. Her film roles include Lana Thomas in The Princess Diaries (2001) and Halley Martin in 2003's How to Deal. Her first album, So Real, included the pop hit Candy. In a major break from that genre, in October 2003 Mandy released Coverage, featuring classics from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Elton John and Cat Stevens. That same month she hosted the Lifetime Network's concert special "Women Rock!" She also briefly hosted The Mandy Moore Show on MTV in 2000, a talk show which also included music videos.
